In 2003, Fujian Jiansheng Furniture Group invested and set up a factory in Guokeng Town, Longwen District to develop mid-to-high-end school furniture business. Its products sell well in Xiamen University, Tianjin University, Fudan University, Shandong University and other well-known domestic universities, and are exported to more than 100 overseas Countries and regions. In 2019, the group relocated to Longwen Lantian Economic Development Zone, producing more than 1 million sets of desks and chairs annually, becoming a leading enterprise in the national school furniture and children's learning furniture industry.
At the end of last year, considering the decline in demand in the general education furniture industry and the increase in demand in the health care market, Jiansheng Group decided to target the second phase of investment in the medical and old-age furniture market, while Longwen Lantian was still the group's first choice for the second phase. "On the one hand, this stems from the location advantage, on the other hand, it is because of the business environment." Liang Zhengwei said that whether it is educational furniture or medical furniture, steel is an important raw material, and Longwen District has a mature supply chain, sufficient raw materials, and is close to Xiamen Port, which brings great convenience to product exports.
"More importantly, over the years, the district party committee and the Lantian Economic Development Zone have regularly held exchanges and trainings, and carried out assistance activities of'thousands of cadres linked to thousands of enterprises', etc., to continuously empower the development of enterprises." Liang Zhengwei said that since the start of the second phase of the project in November last year, it took only about 7 months to build a five-story factory building from the flat ground. "As long as foreign businessmen visit the factory, I will tell them that this is the'Longwen Speed '".
The first-phase investment of enterprises may focus on the hard environment, but the second-phase investment pays more attention to the soft environment. Is the policy effective? Is the government service good?
Because of this, Jiansheng Group has already determined the plan for the third phase of investment before the second phase of investment has been completed. "In the future, we will continue to expand the scale of the enterprise, build a new staff dormitory building and workshop No. 7, and develop and grow together with Lantian." Liang Zhengwei said.
